Cumberland’s three schools are the School of Humanities, Education, and the Arts; the Labry School of Science, Technology, and Business; and the Rudy School of Nursing and Health Professions. At Cumberland University, the C.U.E. serves at a hint or indication of what is expected from you as a Cumberland University student over the course of your first year, as well as an initial guide for your four years on campus.
The C.U.E. is a required program for all incoming first-year students. It is designed to help you make a smooth transition from high school to college. We offer a one-and-a-half-day program to prepare you for your first semester at Cumberland.
On the first day of the C.U.E., you’ll explore and learn about campus in small groups, which will be led by one of our Peer Mentors as well as learn about all the organizations you can get involved with at Cumberland. One the second day of the program, you will learn more about the expectations of being a student at Cumberland, and how to avoid some of the pitfalls that can occur.
